Read Together

Parents and caregivers have the power to boost a child’s learning.

The Children's Reading Foundation of the Mid-Columbia Banner - READY! for Kindergarten - Mobile

Every year 40% of children walk into kindergarten one-to-three years behind.

But there is something you can do to help. Our READY! for Kindergarten parent workshops help you learn how to prepare your child for school success.

Make An Impact!

Reading Research

Decades of research clearly demonstrates the power of reading with a child every day, beginning at birth. Learn more about the lifelong benefits of reading.

Take The Pledge

Pledge to read with a child 20 minutes every day. This simple act helps children reach their full potential in school and in life.

How You Can Help

Our work is supported by organizations and individuals who understand children are the future of our community. Giving children a solid literacy foundation pays dividends for decades. Learn how you can help.

READY! for Kindergarten closes the achievement gap by engaging parents and caregivers in a child’s early learning. Our READY! for Kindergarten workshops are free to Kennewick families and caregivers with children birth to age 5.
