Make An Impact!
READY! for Kindergarten closes the achievement gap by engaging parents and caregivers in a child’s early learning. Our READY! for Kindergarten workshops are free to Kennewick families and caregivers with children birth to age 5.
Once a child begins school, teachers partner with families to continue nurturing every student’s literacy skills. We proudly provide a 75-book library to first-year teachers who are in their first full-time classroom assignment since certification.
Team Read is a volunteer tutoring program to help struggling first, second and third graders develop their literacy skills. Team Read is active in seven elementary schools in the Kennewick School District.
School-age children can lose three months of reading skills in just one summer. The READ Up literacy program helps keep reading a part of daily summer routines with free books and fun events.
