Read Up - Stop the Summer Slide

School-age children can lose three months of reading skills in just one summer. The READ Up literacy program helps keep reading as part of daily summer routines with free books and fun events.

First Teacher Libraries

We proudly provide a 75 book library to first year teachers in grades K-3 who are in their first full-time classroom since certification.

Books for Babies

Babies learn every waking minute from birth and reading with them is the best way to help stimulate their learning. Through our Books for Babies program, we provide a new board book and early reading information to the parents of every child born in our local hospitals.

Resolution Read

Resolution Read encourages our community to make reading with a child their New Year's Resolution. This program will provide a FREE bag of 12 books to households in Benton and Franklin.

Ready! for Kindergarten

Our READY! for Kindergarten workshops are free to Kennewick parents and caregivers with children birth to age 5. These workshops demonstrate how to play with a purpose while preparing your child for kindergarten and future school success.
